Urdu: View Point of Muslim Thinkers’ Regarding Aesthetics

Abstract

What is aesthetics? Is it subjective or objective? Is it internal or external? Is it natural or acquired? Is it inward or outward? Is it spiritual or physical? Different experts have given different answers to these questions. Both the Classic Muslim Thinkers and the Modern Western philosophers have debated them in their own way and have set their own standards for measuring them. These thoughts and ideas are scattered in the books. This study gives a brief overview of the views, especially given by the Muslim thinkers so that their views may also be analyzed, especially vis-à-vis the aesthetics as discussed in the holy text of Qur’an.
